Warning – don’t let your kids sleep under a bulletin board!

Flat Stanley
Book one in the Flat Stanley series
by Jeff Brown, Scott Nash, Macky Pamintuan (Illustrations)
Published: December 23rd 2013 by HarperCollins (first published 1964)

Flat Stanley Lambchop has been converting reluctant readers in to good readers for over 50 years! It all started one morning when Stanley woke up to the screams of his brother, who realised Stanley had been squashed in the night. Flattened by a bulletin to be exact! This peculiar accident leads to adventures of being mailed, slipping under doors, flying like a kite, and inflated by a bike pump. Oh the things you can do when you’re flat! There are lessons to be learnt on family, not judging people on their looks, race or religion, and of course lots of fun and laughter. There is nothing quite as quirky as Flat Stanley, and with updated illustrations this series is enjoying a resurgence that leads early readers into the other two series that follow Stanley and the Lambchop family.
